
Forest City String School Summer Camp 2025
Dates: July 21 - July 25 (Session 1), July 28-August 1 (Session 2)
Two weeks of fun music-making for children ages 4-18!
The Forest City School for Strings family, in partnership with the Maple and Spruce Music Academy, is thrilled to announce that registration for the 2025 FCSS SUMMER MUSIC CAMP is OPEN!
The FCSS Summer Music Camp will be entering its third summer, which promises to be a rich, stimulating, challenging, inspiring, and FUN experience for all involved!
As in the past, we will continue to offer two amazingly full weeks of group and private lessons (violin, viola, cello, harp, piano), chamber music, orchestra, masterclasses, recitals, choir, theory, music history, music appreciation, visual arts, as well as a whole host of recreation activities, games, and sports!

Note: For students aged 6 and older, in order to participate in summer camp, students must already be enrolled in private lessons on their primary instrument.
Registration Deadline: May 23 (After May 23 by request only)
We are pleased to offer four different programs for camp this year:
Pre-Instrumental Half-Day "Pre-Twinkle" Program* (8:30am-12:00pm): $512 (Single week: $256)
Ages 3-5, for students who are not yet enrolled in private lessons
Hot lunch not included
Junior Registration Full Program: $1025 (Single Week: $575)
Age 6 and under (flexible depending on skill level and maturity)
Intermediate Registration Full Program: $1025 (Single Week: $575)
Ages 7-14
Senior String Institute (ages 14-17) *** July 28 - Aug 1 ***: $675
Minimum Skill Level: RCM Level 6
Junior-Intermediate Levels include:
Daily hot lunch
Three private lessons/week (bowed strings)/daily private lessons (piano and harp)
Daily technique and repertoire class
Daily orchestra rehearsals
Choir and musical theatre
Solo performance class opportunities
Theory and composition
Arts and crafts
Sports and team building activities
Optional secondary instrument lessons (viola, piano, etc.)
Senior String Institute includes:
Daily hot lunch
Daily private lesson and/or solo coachings with accompanist
Daily masterclass opportunities featuring special professional guest artists/pedagogues
Daily technique and repertoire classes
Daily chamber music rehearsals and coachings
Chamber orchestra
Theory and composition
