More Chamber Music Opportunities for Intermediate/Senior Students, with Professional Coaches

FCSS has always strived to create momentum for our advancing students through gratifying and meaningful musical experiences. Our senior violin and cello classes have been shining examples of this. This year, all senior students will be enrolled in chamber music ensembles as another way to experience the rewarding process of musical collaboration.

In an effort to meet the needs of all of our students, we are thrilled to offer chamber music as an optional "FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE" elective to intermediate students, RCM levels 5+. Please note that we cannot guarantee this elective to all students who apply, but that we will make every effort possible to accommodate our budding chamber players as we are able!

  • Students who apply for chamber music may either request to be placed with a pre-formed group or may request to be placed as an individual with a new chamber group.
  • All groups must be formed and/or approved by the FCSS Music Director.
  • Coaches and spaces are limited, so these groups will be formed and assigned at the sole discretion of the FCSS Music Director, in consideration of our faculty availability and the possibility of level-appropriate student pairings.
  • Please wait to receive your class assignments BEFORE paying tuition, as the fee will vary.

Private Lessons

All FCSS students must be enrolled in private lessons.

If you are in need of a private instructor for violin, viola, cello, double-bass, or harp, we will be more than happy to put you in touch with any one of our many highly-skilled educators. FCSS is proud to have a faculty of performers and pedagogues, many of whom come with doctoral, master's and education degrees in music.
